I learned from this unit the different activities that could potentially be planned for a class if I were teaching vocabulary, grammatical structure, or language function. Within each class, there are specific tasks that should be targeted for the steps of engagement, study, or activation. If I were teaching vocabulary and was using the straight arrow approach, I might use role-playing in the activate phase.
