Theories and methods could be described as the basic foundation of a teacher's lesson plans. Timing and knowing your class are two of many variables that could be considered when determining what theory or method might be advantageous for you and your students. Training centers and schools that I have worked with seem to expect a blend of these methods and there are pros and cons to each (again) that are determined mainly by the timing and knowing the students in the class. However, this is a good outline and guide for thinking out how to present your lesson as a teacher.
