Grammar might be daunting for many people. It can be tough to remember rules and standards especially with the acceptance of so many words, phrases and communications accepting 'grammatically incorrect' written materials and verbal communications. Even the dictionary continues to edit and add slang each year to try to keep up as a resource for how words are used and the changes that might be included because of new acceptance. Written pieces, especially on social media, sometimes use abbreviations and slang which can be difficult to explain. These are just a few things that may challenge students who are learning English as a second or additional language. I think it is important for teachers to review this unit because, otherwise, the rules in the parts of speech could get lost in translation very easily.
