I feel that I have a better understanding of what receptive skills are, as well as how to structure a lesson to maximize comprehension of a text/audio in order to strengthen students' comprehension skills and create confidence in their ability to understanding what they're reading and hearing. I also understand even more the multifaceted layers of even a straight arrow ESA lesson, with multiple parts in each phase building together to create an effective, efficient, and enjoyable lesson.
