After watching both videos, I am more aware than ever of how much of an impact that the attitude and preparedness of the teacher can have on the students, their enthusiasm toward learning, and the likelihood that they will participate. I also see how important it is to teach with example; in the first video, the teacher repeated the phrase "modal auxiliary verb" over and over, but the students didn't understand the concept, so the rest of the lesson was relatively ineffective, as they weren't sure what they were supposed to be doing.
