This unit covers how to teach and introduce the different aspects of language: vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. Firstly, the unit covers that students must 1: be exposed to the language, 2: understand its meaning, 3: understand how it is constructed, and 4: be able to practice and produce the language, in order to properly learn and use the new language.
The rest of the unit covers different techniques on how to introduce or teach the different language components and provides examples of lesson plans/activities. It is important to remember the different aspects of the language component that the student must learn in order to fully understand how and when to use the English language. While there are unlimited ways to create lessons to introduce the language component, there are specific structures that work better with each - but don't be constricted by lesson structures as this will make lessons boring and predictable.
