This unit covers the topic of lesson planning and why it is important for teachers, especially new teachers to be able to use and create good lesson plans. While there is no right or wrong way to lesson plan, it is important to have a few key things in mind when creating lesson plans. While they are called plans, they are not always set and a good lesson plan should be flexible enough to adapt to changing classroom environments/moods. Lesson plans should also be able to flow from one to the next. While it is important to have a good flow between lessons, it's also important to remember that things do not always go as planned and there should be flexibility again between lessons (when and how they should be used). While there are many different ways to plan lessons, it takes time to develop a method that works best for you. Even when you think you have mastered lesson planning, it is important to always ask how you can improve the lessons and yourself. In order to improve, you should continuously monitor yourself and even have others monitor/observe you.
