A teacher must create a good rapport with their students and make sure everyone is participating, and this is done through their voice, attitude, getting to know the students, and how they respond to answers. He or she needs to clearly outline what is being studied and use concepts and ideas that are familiar to students. For drills, there needs to be repetition and it needs to be very controlled and structured. Directions should be demonstrated and students should be asked open ended questions about the directions so they really understand.
