This unit reviews all the present tenses and its uses, form, typical student mistakes and teaching ideas for the activate stage. Form shows us affirmative, negative and question examples of the grammar point or tense. Usages show us how and under what circumstances the tense or grammar point is used. TypicaL student errors can sometimes be predictable, so it is useful for a teacher to come up with correction strategies and also some examples in advance. The unit also presents us different ideas of what to do in class in order to encourage communicative use of the tense in the activate stage of a lesson. In the unit we also look at the four different tenses; the present simple, present continuous, the present perfect and the ptresent perfect continuous.
