I feel this lesson has given me confidence to use both authentic and created materials in my classes. To be most effective, I will use a mix of real world materials such as brochures, newspapers, videos, etc., and my own created materials. At times, I will take material and adjust it to the individual so learning will be enhanced. In my current position, I use my textbook some but most of my curriculum comes from materials that I find more compelling and appropriate.
