This unit introduces modals , phrasal verbs, and passive voice. There are some modals that express obligation, possibility, necessity, permission, polite request, ability... Passive voice, however, is used to put the focus on the action itself rather than the agent or the performer of the action. This unit also introduces the two types of relative clause, namely : defining relative clause,which is essential to the meaning of the sentence, and non-defining relative clause, which is not enssential to the meaning of the sentence. In addition, there're three types of verbs, namely, intransitive, transitive separable type 2, transitive inseparable type 3.
