In this unit, I have learnt that there are different ways of evaluating students levels, as well as some of the common external exams. This includes tutorial, evaluation by the students and test. I have learnt that tutorials can take place with the whole or with individual students and that it is important to spend some time at the end of the week discussing the aims of the lessons, how well the students perform the tasks and weather there are any problems or not. I have also learnt that evaluation by the students can be very useful to ask the students to evaluate their course by means of questionnaire or guided discussion. For example they can be asked weather they feel that they are getting enough grammar , if the balance of skills work is right and if they think the work is too easy or too difficult or just right. And this process promote genuine interaction. I have also learnt that it is often appropriate to give tests at different stages in a course. This includes placement test, diagnostic test, periodic progress test , regular but short test, and achievement test
