In unit 18, I’ve learned the modal auxiliary verbs and the passive voice , as well as the phrasal verbs and relative clauses. After the learning of this unit, I have a farther understand on the modal verbs. For me, I used to teach the high level only by giving some context sentences. Now I know I should show them one modal could express a number of different ideas, and for different ideas, I should give them some context to let them create the right expression of each idea. Bear in mind that the more we expose to the students, the more they will get!
