This unit explains the multiple types of equipment that is available to teachers. I understand that these equipments are used to make lessons more interesting, effective and less reliance on text books. Some of these materials include visual aids, videos and DVDs. Both of these hold the students attention and are very important to lessons. Visual aids have the benefit of being able to illustrate meaning better than verbally describing and can also help with memorising. Videos and DVDs have the advantage of being something different (not on the board) and can be a good source of motivation to students.
