In this unit, I have learned the difference between testing and evaluating. Testing means an assessment that involves interaction with the students to reveal the knowledge that the child has retained from the lessons. It is usually done in the classroom where every students participate. The test can be an oral, written and open book. While an evaluation is made up of observations of the child's classroom and learning behaviors in an effort to understand how the information is retained.
Teachers must consider that testing and evaluation are both significant to the education system. It shouldn't be taken for granted or taken like as a requirement only. It should be taken with love and passion. The teachers must use an assessment or any measurement tools that is exact and suitable to the students level. Because, students have different level of understanding. Teachers must balance it, referring to the level of the students he/she is teaching.
