This unit has specified the teaching methods and techniques clearly, especially about the teaching plan. The ESA (Engage, Study, Active) lesson plan is clear and there are varieties of lesson plans that i could use as a teacher. The order of the lesson plan would change depending on the students' english proficiency and students' mood and other situation during the lesson. As a teacher, i think engaging students at the beginning is important as it will get them to warm up, be familiarized with english language and thus, they are ready for the next part of the lesson. During the study stage, accuracy is important and through worksheet and drilling exercise, i should be able to identify their mistakes and correct them on the spot or after the end of the exercise and discuss it together in the class. The last stage of the ESA lesson, which is the "Active", is a great method whenever i want the students to freely express themselves using english, thus allowing me to know where their level. Subsequently, i would be able to help them according to their english language level.
Hence, i think preparing the class beforehand with the help of these various lesson plans will help the class to be more organised, interesting and efficient.
