In this unit I learned a lot about how to use lesson materials and course books. I also learned about the disadvantages and advantages especially on authentic and created materials.
As a teacher, whether you are starting with a new class or just changing direction a little, the decision of structuring a course without using a coursebook can sometimes be very difficult. It is difficult to a new or even to an experienced teacher. Because, the course books serves as a guideline of the teacher, what topic to teach and how she/he can improve it for the students better understanding. The teacher may use either authentic or created materials. But, she/he must bare in mind, about the resources that she/he is going to use, if it will be very suitable and engaging to the students and to the lesson. Teacher must not only use any authentic or created materials that isn't appropriate to the topics and students.
However, teachers must not only based his/her lesson in one course books. He/she can use other books too as reference to make it more substantial and nice to teach. Aside from that, the teacher should use authentic or either created materials. That helps effectively to reduce the boredom of the students.
