This unit covers on conditionals and reported speech, both are important grammar components in our daily English usage. They are not the easiest to teach, and should be a unit where students should take it slowly, utilizing examples, diagrams and games to assist them in understanding, rather than drilling and trying to force them into their memory. Once the logic sets in, I believe students should have no issues understanding the concepts. To English speakers like us, I find the reported speech exercises and tests not hard to complete, but to get around the rules and tense changes, so we can explain properly to English learners, that would pose the biggest challenge. This chapter is definitely something I need to work on before any teaching takes place.
