Understanding the differences between adults and younger students are crucial to teaching because it will allow the teacher to better adapt to the class;
- What level of English do the student have?
- What are their motivations?
- What type of activities should be prioritized ?
I haven't learned anything new from this unit but it was mostly a reminder that a good teacher is someone that adapts to his audience. I would even add that adapting to an audience is not only a good skill to have as a teacher but in a lot of other spheres of professional and personal activities.
