Unit 7 covers teaching vocabulary, grammatical structure and language functions. When teaching vocabulary it is important to look at the appropriacy to the students, teachability and how frequently the student will use the word. Language structures mean that students need to know not just what the words mean but also how to use it what its patterns are as well as any differences between the written and oral form. Language functions covers the area of the kind of language that is used ie formal or informal and includes things like inviting, refusing, disagreeing or agreeing.
