This unit focused on the methods used when teaching,it described the method ESA in detail as that is the method which this course is based on. ESA stands for engage-study-activate. These are three different parts to a lesson though it may not be as straight forward as that and some lessons are called boomerang or patchwork lessons when different parts of the lesson are used ie. engage-activate-study-activate. The important hting is that the lesson starts with engaging stage and finishes with activate stage. This unit covers many ideas and examples of engaging, study and activate activities that are able to be used in lessons.
