It really is a shame that Modals, Phrasal verbs, and Passive voice were never covered in any of my English classes, all the way up through university. It seems like these pieces of grammar will be very easy to make mistakes with so that makes it all the harder to pass this on to non-native speakers. These are difficult concepts to learn even when attempting another language that has these exact same grammar points since you must have an already firm grasp on how to use them and what they are used for.
