This unit is about the various teaching techniques, theories, and methodologies. There are many approaches to teaching language, so it can be difficult to know which approach is best. We can consider the age and culture of the students when choosing a teaching approach, but there are other things to consider. Most importantly, we want students to feel relaxed and motivated. Students should have high exposure to the language, and we should encourage them to speak on their own as much as possible. The teach should find a balance between his/her own participation and the participation of the students. The teacher should not completely dominate class time or be overcorrecting or authoritative. At the same time, structure and correction are needed for the students to advance in their language learning.
