In Unit 4 the Tense System is explained and how we interpret time in English. We interpret this through three basic time principles of past, present, and future. The unit further goes to categorize each of these into four different aspects of simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous. The unit continues to provide grammatical examples of how we use this to convey points in time along with affirmative, negative, and question forms. Simple examples are given and the schematics of how to signify the time is explained in detail. Certain components are required to recognize the variations of time and what category they fall under in order to successfully communicate them.
