Unit 3 goes in detail over various methodologies and approaches to teaching English. Different techniques and methods can be utilized to effectively teach English with an emphasis on flexibility. What I learned from this Unit in particular is that there isn’t necessarily a right or wrong way of teaching within the context of the given examples. The different methods each can be effective, and no preference can be given as each caters to a different style of learning. Each technique has its merits in engaging students and builds upon ways of teaching English through different avenues. The unit covers various activities such as role-playing, games, and repetition which can be integrated into a lesson to ensure a solid foundation is formed.
