Being able to use a language largely depends on a student’s ability to learn new vocabulary, and identifying when and how speech patterns are formed for different situations. Without these two things, a student would not be able to aptly express themselves. For students knowing how to do these 2 different aspects will greatly affect how the student is able to speak or produce written work. From this unit, I was able to see how different these 2 aspects were and how each situation required a different strategy to teach it and also elicit the proper responses from the students using the ESA phases.
