When I read through the material I began thinking about my own classes and noticed the similarities between the proposed lesson plans and the lesson plans produced by my co-teacher. The ESA technique is highly used in the school that I am currently working at and I saw many ways to improve the system based on some shortcomings on my part. Ideas to engage the students as they are so accustomed to the repetition of the technique currently used in terms of the activities used. I found it interesting how teachers can engage the students with such simple activities that they would enjoy even though they are older. I always had a had time with engaging the students as I always thought that that stage had to be related to the work that had been done before, as a review. However, after reading and digesting the information presented, I know differently now. It is quite interesting that the stages of the theory can be repeated several times to ensure that the students are always invested and attentive to the lesson. I hope that by tweaking the lesson plans already made to include more flexibility for students to talk in a more creative setting will help boost their confidence and ability in speaking English.
