In this unit I learn about teaching pronunciation and phonology. pronunciation is the most neglected aspect of English language teaching.one of the reasons teacher has against teaching pronunciation is that it varies so much,depending on the situation and mood of the speaker,that is seems impossible to standardize anything.but an effective teacher would considers the teaching of pronunciation an integral part of teaching.but it is possible to lay down general guidelines for English pronunciation.
in this unit it talk about how should teacher teach the areas as stress,rhythm,and intonation,as well as phonetic alphabet.
In the end we should remembered that we are unlikely to ever get 100% perfection in our students' pronunciation.
