To be a good teacher not only the class has to learn effectively while inspiring confidence in our students, being able to have the correct classroom management in also as important which from this unit, I’ve learnt a number of classroom management skills.
Teachers while conducting a class have to pay attention to their eye contact, gesture and our voice to bring out a more discipline, attractive and friendly environment in learning.
The way that we group students depends on the size of the classroom, type of chairs and tables, age of students, nationally and student’s personalities. Also it’s better to put weaker student with stronger ones in pairs to increase the chances for students to work with different people and personalities, this will also be a good chance for the weaker students to learn from the stronger one as well. But if students are unable to cooperate with each other, teacher may move the student for the benefit of the activity, cohesion or discipline, however, student should not be move without a reason.
For responding to discipline behaviour problems in the classroom, teachers must act immediately and do not let the problem to get worsen! And never ever focus on the student and should focus on the behaviour of the student.
