From this unit I have learnt the form, usage, typical student errors and some activate stage teaching ideas for teaching the four present tenses which are the present simple, present continuous, present prefect and present perfect continuous.
Summary usage of all present tenses learnt in Unit:
Present Simple - To describe things that are permanent or unchanging.
To describe how often something happens.
To talk about scheduled events.
Present Continuous- To talk about an action that is in progress at the time of speaking.
To refer to regular actions.
Describe developing situations.
Present Perfect-For past events with a connection to the present.
Present Prefect Continuous - To talk about an incomplete and ongoing activity.
