This unit examines the advantages and disadvantages of using ESL books and what English teachers can do if ESL course books are to be used. We learned that the use of course books are very common because of their visual appealing to the eye and easiness for the teachers to prepare their lessons, including the types of activities fit well into the timetable. This would be a great help to those inexperienced teachers who are just getting started into teaching. However teachers need to somehow solve the issues and problems that may come with ESL course books. it's necessary for the teachers to prepare and develop other activities and supplemental materials for the course books they used.
