When starting a class with a new group, it is important for the teacher to establish rapport with the students. This can be achieved through warmer games such as hangman, pictionary and memory games. There can be students who are at different levels in once class. The teacher can separate the class into two groups of strong and weak students; she can pair strong students with weak ones, use the same material but give different tasks to different groups or she may do nothing at all and let each student find his/her on level. It is important to keep students from using their native language in class by giving clear explanations, reminding students and responding in English at all times. When students are having difficulty with listening materials, it is crucial to check the quality of the recordings.
