Unit 2 is about teaching and learning. There are learning and developmental theories that are related to the development of child cognitive skills and behaviour. It also explained how a person learns a language and differentiate language acquisition from language learning. And, how to establish a learning environment that will promote class interaction.
I learned a lot of things in this Unit. The Piaget theory is interesting because you can learn about the developmental stages which you can use to base your lesson plans. And how people learn a language through exposure. I think it gives me ideas to understand how people learn languages in general.
