In this unit, I have learnt about different learning and developmental theories and approaches which is very useful to have it on mind before organizing a lesson. This unit makes also a distinction between the native language and the second language acquisition. Therefore, it makes clear that there are differencies between learning your native language and a second language. It also explains the reasons why. Furthermore, I understood that it is more efficient to separate the young learners in two different age groups, the one (5 to 9 years old) and the second (9 to 13 years old. It makes clear the different learning skills between these two groups. Aditionally, this unit discusses and explains the importance of the learning environment.Therefore, I learnt the different options of organizing a classroom and for what purposes. I understood that the interaction between the students is very important. What is more,this unit presents and explains the importance of the ESA method and its different optios. All in all, i find this unit very important because it explains useful methods and approaches which can be applied in every classroom.
