This unit focuses on conditionals and reported speech. While the grammar is a bit complicated it is grammar that is used on a daily basis, that being said, it is best to teach these concepts slowly as to not overwhelm or confuse students. Conditional sentences focus on possibilities using past,present, and future tenses in combination with each other to reach the desired meaning, facts, probable and improbable outcomes and hypotheticals. Additionally reported speech is used to report what someone else said to a third party. This involves modification to the verb as well as the pronoun, with present tense generally becoming past tense.
