This unit is a basic overview of expectations of what good teachers and good students should be as well as explaining levels of language learners. One of the key factors to take away from this unit is understanding what different factors influence students, motivation, experience level, culture, etc., students are all affected by different circumstances. These circumstances must be taken into consideration when teaching a class in order to maximize success. It is a teacher's job to teach students, and also to motivate them, that being said, there must be a balance. A teacher can not hold a student's hand forever, instead it is better to help students understand how to learn, and to use a teacher as a resource.
