Unit 18: Modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice began with describing what modal verbs are and their different uses. It provided a list of the twelve different modals, their uses, and what tense they are normally used in. Additionally, it described how some modals can produce a more formal statement, or strong or weak expression. Once more, it provided teaching ideas for teaching modals.
The second part of this unit explained the difference between active and passive voice. It explained how one can be converted into the other, and how the tense changes. It also explained when passive is used instead of active. This section also provided teaching ideas, as well as areas where the students may make errors.
The third part (and most challenging for me) was about relative clauses and phrasal verbs. The different categories of relative clause were difficult for me to distinguish, and took the video to fully grasp.
The phrasal verbs took even more research for me to distinguish. I think these could have been better explained, or perhaps included in the video.
