In this Unit 4, I have learnt that the materials (authentic or non-authentic) is to aid the teaching process. It is important to focus on those 3 areas: the the teaching point, the mechanics of the classroom and clear instructions. the course books are good material but the teacher must bear in mind to omit lessons sometimes, replace material if needed, supplement material with extra material if needed too, and adapt the material to his own style. Using the Internet is also an non-exhaustive ressource but teacher must be careful to choose a free and suitable material for students. There is no best method for classroom management, teacher must be flexible and adapt to each situation. It is important to know the name of each students, to be fair and to follow the same rules etablished in accordance with the school disciplinary procedures and the students.
