Unit 16 explains that there are 5 types of conditionals in English. Zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional. Each time a conditional is used, it conveys a different meaning depending on which type of conditional is used. These meanings refer to things in the future, in the past, certainty etc. This unit also looked at tense changes when changing directed speech into reported speech. This has very specific rules and I think will prove to be a difficult topic to both teach and learn.
