A teacher has many different roles in the classroom. From being a model of the language, to being a participant within the classroom, the teacher is always switching roles and often playing multiple roles at one time. A good teacher will always respect, help, and motivate their students at all times within every class. Students, depending on age and ability, will have many different motivations, experiences, and behaviours that teachers must take into consideration when conducting a class. A good learner will ask questions and accept error. However, depending on age and personality this may not be the case and the teacher must encourage active participation and willingness to learn.
