In this lesson, I learned about ways to create a course for young learners. To start, I learned about needs analysis and level testing. This helps the teacher know where the students are at and what level of English they've attained. Both are essential for the teacher to create effective and helpful lessons. Then, I learned about limiting factors that differ from different schools and teaching locations. These include things like resources and time, and can greatly affect the teacher's ability to teach. But, I also learned ways around these possible problems. Then, we learned about syllabus types and which are most effective for certain classes. Lastly, I learned about assessments: the different kinds, when they are used, and how they should be graded. I also learned about standardized examinations and how important course evaluations are for a teacher and their future students.
