When I first started the course, I was skeptical about how much new knowledge I would gain after I had been teaching for a year in Korea and I had studied to be a teacher in university. However, I found several things helpful and useful. I'm more aware of the ESL levels, first of all. Second, I realized that I am starting to mold my style of teaching to include some of the activities that were shown or suggested. In the last year of teaching, I developed a pattern and comfort zone for my teaching style. One of the best things I've gained is learning how to modify my teaching style to include different strategies and activities, instead of relying on the same style and progression of activities within a lesson. I've also gained a number of interesting and useful resources.
