I have gained so much from this course that it is hard to summarize. For one, I have learned that there is so much about how the english language and how it is formed that I never knew before. Although I may have learned all of the rules and strategies as a young child at school, I feel as though much of what I know about my native language has just been acquired rather than learned. This being said, I feel like I have benefited greatly and gained much more knowledge and confidence in myself in the area of grammar and word structure.
I hope to one day complete my masters degree in ESL instruction. I felt as though this course has really introduced me to the hardships as well as the rewards associated with teaching non-native english speakers. All of the resources I now have will be very beneficial to my career and I now have the option to teach abroad if the opportunity shows itself to be positive career move.
