Most importantly, I have learnt how to use a structured plan for lessons. I personally like patch work strategy because activities are more varied. However, I understand this way of teaching may not be suitable for beginners as jumping here and there in a class makes them difficult to catch up.
I have seldom done drilling practice with students before as I think it’s a kind of wasting time to repeat the words out loud. It seems like too childish for adults to follow teacher’s pronunciation in this way. After learning this skill form the course, I realize how important it is as adults may only have this little chance to speak up in a lesson once a week.
