I have learned the theory and practice behind teaching english to non-native speakers. As a native speaker myself, it is difficult to recognize many of the finer points of english. Through this course I have been reminded of many of the grammatical rules that were long ago forgotten and taken for granted. I am now confident and prepared to embark on a career teaching english.
Although there is no clear destination or plan on how I will use this knowledge, it is likely I will wind up settling somewhere in SE Asia for a while. Having previously lived in Indonesia for close to 2 years, I am thinking of trying vietnam. I look forward to putting my newly acquired knowledge to practice in the very near future.
