Authentic materials are those materials that are being used for description, for example, newspapers, songs, poems, brochures, menu, films, and videos. it is not used for grading a level but instead, it is being used for motivating the student to speak the language.
Created materials are materials that are designed by the teachers to replace or supplement materials from the course book, an example of this are crosswords, word search puzzle, role play cards, flashcards, gap fill activities and picture stories.
The coursebook is a set of materials, it includes the following: textbook, workbook, cassettes, teacher's book and videos. Coursebook has advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages of the course book is it provides a balanced mix of grammar, vocabulary, and activities, however, there is also disadvantages and one of it is it does not always fit the specific needs and interests of all the class members.
