Lesson three outlines the different methodologies and highlights each methodology's deficiencies as well as advantages. I like the ESA approach because it allows for student discovery of language as well as the structured Study Stage and the playful Activate Stage. I especially liked learning about Elicitation. This is something that I include in all my planning and the students really like it.
I also like the “Positive” correction, I think that it avoids embarrassment to the student being corrected and it is something that I have also applied to my style of teaching.
