Classroom is the most important thing for a teacher. As a teacher, we should always be good at classroom management, no matter how we good at teaching or how excellent we are. So we need to learn more effective ways to manage the classroom, such as eye contact, gestures and the voice.
For classroom management, one important thing is to group the students. We will always make them work in pairs, but there are always some shy students or really strong students during the class. If one shy student has a strong students as a partner, they will have chance to speak, that is what we don't want to see. We need to pay more attention to those students and arrange them into different groups, so that everyone can have a chance to talk. That doesn't mean that only the strong students or shy students need to change partner, all the students should take turns to practice with different partners. That can help students making more friends and getting interested into the topics.
For teacher talking time and students talking time, The TTT shouldn't be higher then 30%. We always want students to talk more, only if they talk in the classroom, they can practice the language they learnt.
