The outline at the beginning of this unit was very helpful, straightforward, and clear. I used to have a hard time remembering the difference between present perfect continuous and past perfect continuous, but the way the rules spelled things out in this unit clarified for me that if the present form of "to have" is used it is a present perfect continuous tense, and if the the past form of to have is used than it is a past perfect continuous tense. The "been" in both cases indicates that the action is continuous. It all makes sense!
