Engage, Study, and Activate are key phases for teaching the english language. These phases can be used to form three distinct ways of teaching - ESA, Boomerang, and Patchwork. The focus of Engage phase of the class is to arouse students interest and get them involved in the lesson. During the Study phase, students focus on the language and its construction. And finally, during the Activate phase, the focus is to encourage students to use the language they know. This unit gave me a lot of information about the techniques that I could use as an English teacher during Engage, Study, and Activate phases of my teaching.
